Jonathan Woodgate could be set for a move to Stoke City following his release from Tottenham Hotspur.
Woodgate parted company with Spurs after failing to agree terms on a play-per-play deal – which is what Stoke wll also be offering.
The former England international was blighted by injuries during his time at Spurs but will be best remembered for his winning goal in the Carling Cup final against Chelsea.
Stoke chairman Peter Coates said: “We’re working on that and it’s something we’re prepared to do.
“It’s work in progress but we’re taking a risk. We hope we’ll be able to do something.”
