Some Spurs fans like the idea of signing Callum Wilson as a back up to Harry Kane this summer, amidst rumours of Tottenham being linked with a move for the Bournemouth striker.
The Sun claims that Wilson is one of a number of players who could be sold by the Cherries if they are relegated.
The Lilywhites reportedly want to sign the 28-year-old to provide cover and it is said that the North Londoners are ready to launch a £10million bid for the striker when the transfer window opens.
Some Spurs fans on social media believe that a striker of Wilson’s quality and experience in the Premier League. would be a bargain for £10million.
However, a few others were not sure that the England international would be the answer for Spurs on the back of his lacklustre displays this campaign.
Here’s how some fans reacted to reports that Tottenham could swoop for Wilson:
That would be incredible business

Excluding a gamble on a young hotshot or a +30 ex great. At 28 we probably couldn’t do much better than Callum Wilson to sit on the bench for 80% of games ? pic.twitter.com/LjfK5wQb3N

Callum Wilson? Think I'll rather have Fernando Llorente or Vincent Janssen back.

Bargain tbf. 2 years ago linked with 50mil move to Chelsea. I'd take it.

I’d take him if his injuries haven’t completely taken their toll. I’m not sure we could find a better striker available to get goals off the bench.

Callum Wilson to spurs ? been off this season but I’m sure we’ll get best out of him again ??

If Bournemouth go down, Callum Wilson sure would make a lot of sense for Spurs as a Kane backup and homegrown squad player. Not quite the player Milik is, but still good enough, imo.

Spurs Web Opinion
I understand why some Spurs fans are unsure on Wilson as he has not had the best of seasons at the Vitality Stadium. However, that can be said of almost the entire Bournemouth squad this season.
I personally think he could be an excellent option for us off the bench. He is also one of the few strikers who can link up with Kane upfront or lead the line on his own. I do not believe we can get too many better quality backups to Kane for the rumoured price.
