‘Would honestly take £15m’ – Some Spurs fans happy for midfielder to leave amid transfer rumours

Some Spurs fans on social media are pleased to hear reports that Harry Winks is said to be being pursued by La Liga clubs and have urged the North Londoners to move the midfielder on this summer.

Winks has struggled for game time this season and his chances of getting some minutes took a serious blow when Spurs were knocked out of the Europa League at the hands of Dinamo Zagreb three weeks ago.

The 25-year-old has lost his place in the England squad and reports indicate that he could be on his way out of Tottenham in the summer.

It has been claimed that the Spurs academy graduate is on the radar of Atletico Madrid, Valencia, Sevilla and Everton ahead of the summer transfer window.

Some Tottenham fans admitted that they would be happy to see Winks leave, with a few even questioning why Atletico would want to sign a player who has struggled for consistency over the past couple of years.

Spurs Web Opinion

It is starting to look like Winks’ time as a Tottenham player is coming to an end, particularly if Jose Mourinho is still in charge next season. I believe a move to La Liga would be idea for the 25-year-old but the link with Atletico is quite puzzling given Winks’ defensive frailties. I expect Levy to demand at least around £25m-£30m for the midfielder.
