Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to react to the team news selection for tonight’s match against Israeli outfit Maccabi Haifa.

Jose Mourinho has rung the changes to his starting eleven with only Toby Alderweireld and Steven Bergwijn retaining their places from the side which beat Chelsea in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday night.

Dele Alli has returned to the squad but is only worthy of a place in the bench alongside a player who has come back into Mourinho’s good books, Tanguy Ndombele. As promised, Eric Dier is given a complete rest following his memorable exploits against Frank Lampard’s side.

A place in the group stage of the Europa League awaits tonight’s winner after what has been an energy sapping campaign for the North Londoners to date.
