‘Wow, what a player’ – Pundit blown away by one Tottenham man against Luton

Micah Richards has lavished praise on Son Heung-min after the Tottenham captain once again made the difference for his side against Luton Town on Saturday.

With Harry Kane no longer at the club, Tottenham are now reliant mainly on Son to deliver at important moments and he continues to step up and bail out his side whenever they need him to the most.

Despite playing two full games for South Korea halfway around the world during the international break, the 31-year-old delivered a tireless display against Luton and made a lung-busting run into the box in the 86th minute to net the matchwinner and give his side three crucial points.

Ange Postecoglou was extremely complimentary of the forward in his post-match press conference, pointing out that he never rests on his laurels or lets his standards slip (Football.London).

Heung-min Son – What a player!

That goal means that Son is now the fifth highest-scoring player in Tottenham’s history and Richards is simply in awe of what the Spurs star continues to produce.

The pundit said on Rest is Football podcast about his match-winner: “Yeah, they found a way and I was ecstatic because (Son was my FPL captain).

“Did you see his chance that went off one post and onto the other… Oh my God! I thought it was going to be a bad day but then, he pulls one (out). Son, honestly, wow, what a player he is and continues to be.”

Spurs Web Opinion

Son will perhaps only be fully appreciated for the player he was when the time comes for him to leave the Premier League, not too dissimilar to what happened with Kane. We are all privileged to see a living legend in action and he certainly looks poised to continue delivering the goods for a few more years.
