Xavi Simons has struggled for consistent performances himself at Tottenham, but he believes one attacker deserves more credit.
Most Tottenham Hotspur fans would have been in agreement that Mohammed Kudus was the club’s signing of the summer a few months ago.
The right winger got off to a brilliant start in North London, with his dribbling skills and physicality on the ball second to none.
However, there were clear signs that Kudus was beginning to struggle at Tottenham, and after picking up an injury, he has been out of the team since the start of the year.

Xavi Simons brands Mohammed Kudus ‘underrated’ at Tottenham
While Kudus has received some mixed reviews at Spurs, Xavi Simons has been very happy playing alongside the former West Ham star.
The Dutchman has indicated that Kudus may have faced some unfair criticism, as he has still had some very good displays since he joined Tottenham.
When asked who the most underrated player was at Spurs, Simons replied: “Kudus”, which the 25-year-old will certainly appreciate.
Kudus could rediscover his early Spurs form
It felt like Kudus was beginning to lose his way a bit at Tottenham, but he would walk into the first team right now if he were fit enough.
Yes, he has not been perfect, but there have been moments when Kudus has really stepped up and pushed his team to some important victories.
With time on the sidelines to reflect on his season so far, Kudus will be able to come back stronger and show that he truly is the real deal.
