Tottenham defender DeAndre Yedlin has arrived on Tyneside with a view to completing a move to Newcastle.
The 23-year-old United States full-back, who spent last season on loan at Sunderland, is understood to have travelled to the north-east for a medical on Tuesday.
Yedlin has been heavily liked with a move to Championship rivals Aston Villa, but it appears as if Rafa Benitez’s side have won the race for the player which is said to be worth £5million for Tottenham.
The deal would represent a £2.5million profit for Levy. I wonder how the news will go down with Sunderland fans?!
