Tottenham Hotspur continued their fine start to the season this evening with an all but comfortable win against Crystal Palace.
Despite finding it near-impossible to break down the stubborn Palace defence to create clear cut chances, Spurs clinched the three points through a second half header.
Young Juan Foyth was the fastest to react after Kane’s blocked header and gleefully nodded it home into an empty net.
However, the match wasn’t without its lows for Tottenham, was they suffered yet more injury woes early on in the first half.
Spurs defender Kieran Trippier went down off the ball after a corner, and subsequently limped from the field of play.
One would assume it was an issue with his hamstring, something that kept Davinson Sanchez from the starting XI too.
Trippier did reappear from the tunnel to watch the second half, so hopefully it isn’t too serious.
Kieran was called up to the upcoming England squad, but don’t be surprised to see him pull out in the next day or so, even if it is just precautionary.
