Tottenham Hotspur unfortunately lost by a goal to nil to Manchester City last night, despite putting in a decent performance.
Spurs had a number of chances to score a goal of their own, none more so that Harry Kane’s questionable offside call and Erik Lamela’s blaze over the bar.
Most of Tottenham’s good work came down the right hand side through the 90 minutes, namely Moussa Sissoko.
The Frenchman was in blistering form on the battered Wembley pitch as he pegged Mendy back to his left back position for most of the game.
Sissoko has put in a number of class performances in the Premier League over the past month, and is becoming a regular started under Pochettino.
His display last night against City was a testament to the faith shown in him by his manager.
talkSPORT have now revealed some sensational stats from yesterday’s game, showing just how dominant Sissoko was.
The Frenchman recorded:
Most interceptions made
Most aerial duels won
100% dribble success rate
100% tackle success rate
82% pass success rate
Sissoko could prove to be a vital player in this awfully congested run of fixtures for Spurs.
