You won’t believe which ex-Spurs player is beating Kane as Europe’s best penalty taker

Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane showed yet again this week why he is regarded as one of the very best penalty takers out there.

The Spurs striker stroked home two goals from the spot for England in their Euro 2020 qualifier against Bulgaria at Wembley on Saturday.

It is getting to the stage where you just don’t expect the centre-forward to ever miss from 12-yards again, such is his consistency.

However, Kane isn’t even close to the top of the charts when it comes to penalty conversion rates since the 2017/18 season in Europe’s top five leagues (BBC).

Harry sits at just joint 6th on the list with 90% after scoring nine out of ten league penalties in that time.

Arsenal signing Nicolas Pepe, Sergio Ramos, Cristhian Stuani, and Neymar are all above Kane in terms of conversion rate.

However, the man who tops the entire list with 12 out of 12 spot kicks is none other than ex-Spurs midfielder, Nabil Bentaleb.

Bet you didn’t see that one coming.
