Tottenham Hotspur have today confirmed that they have reached an agreement to sign Sandro.

According to press reports, the transfer fee is anything between £6-9million for the midfielder.  Sandro, will have a medical this week and will move to London for the start of next season.

The Brazilian will require a work permit, as he has only been capped once by his country.

Are you happy with the deal, or did you want Harry Redknapp to focus on another player/position?   Maybe you have no idea what Sandro is like and want to ask for some opinions.  Have your say below!

  1. No idea – never seen him play – By all accounts he’s a great little player though. Will he be able to stand up to the rough and tumble of the Premier league? let’s hope so.

    Work permit issues though :(

    • He's a though hardworking wildtackling powerful holding midfielder standing taller than 6ft. He's build for Premier league!

  2. Im sure I remember Harry saying that he wouldnt buy anyone who didnt improve the team. So who's he better than? Maybe Palacios?

    • I haven`t seen him play, but I did read that he has scored 3 goals in 73 matches for his team. Why do want yet another midfielder who doesn`t score goals? We already have Palacios and Hudd for that. Modric doesn`t score either, and allthough Kranjcar has done well, he only scored 12 goals in 100 appearances for Porthsmouth.

We need to learn from United. Having plenty of midfielders scoring goals.

  3. never heard him before but if he has play for all the under for brazil than he must be something….
i can say that we had much cover for strong midfield next season for CL or europa challenge….
anyway wanted to say bye bye to JJ or o hara….

  4. needed another tough tackling midfielder to cover or sometimes play alongside Palacios. Hopefully the competition will bring out the best in both of them. Also, this is Harry’s first big transfer gamble – the first player he’s signed with no EPL experience. Good luck to Sandro, it’s not gonna be easy!

  5. Gd luck to the guy take it jenas n ohara on ther way. hope livermore or walker cn make the step up as wel an play there part next season… helpin us win the champions league lol yeha coys
