Zidane doesn’t want Alli and Kane: Perez does

With the transfer window opening in less than a week those rumours will start to gather in earnest and The Daily Star say Real Madrid supremo Florentino Perez wanted to sign Harry Kane and Dele Alli in the summer – but Zinedine Zidane vetoed the deals.

The article says that according to Spanish news outlet Don Balon club president Perez was ready to green light a double raid but Zidane, however, refused to sanction their arrivals.

It says it was suggested the Frenchman won’t be allowed to stand in Perez’s way again though.
Zidane’s men slumped to a 3-0 defeat against rivals Barca on Saturday, a defeat which now means Real are now 14 points behind the Catalans and all but out of the title race.

It adds how Perez reportedly hasn’t given up on the England internationals and is already having provisional conversations about signing them.

The article continues saying Kane’s 22nd-minute header against Southampton today saw him break Alan Shearer’s record for most Premier League goals in a calendar year with the Newcastle legend holding the achievement since 1995 but Kane has surpassed him after his stunning 2017.

It adds how Shearer took to social media to congratulate the 24-year-old on his remarkable record.
He wrote on Twitter: “You’ve had a magnificent 2017 Harry Kane. You deserve to hold the record of most Premier League goals in a calendar year. Well done and keep up the good work.”

Again and for the next month or so there will be daily reports on Harry going here there and everywhere. One would hope he’s committed to the cause and the club remain steadfast in refusing to do business with anyone.
