Zigic agent rubbishes Spurs talk

The agent of Nicola Zigic has rejected talk of the giant Serbian moving to Tottenham Hotspur.

Reports on Thursday has suggested Spurs were keen to bring in the Valencia striker, with Roman Pavlyuchenko likely to exit in January.

Valencia have widely-reported finanical issues and would be willing to sell Zigic in order to reduce their wage bill, however, his agent, Milan Calasan has said that he has not had any contact from Spurs.

“I’ve heard nothing from Tottenham, no-one from Tottenham has contacted me about Zigic.

“I think any move to Tottenham would be impossible, as they already have Crouch there so I don’t think they would also want Zigic.”

The 6ft 8″ forward has also been linked with Zenit St Petersburg and Roma, but Calasan also threw cold water on those links as well.

“Zenit St Petersburg were interested in Zigic, but the player did not want to go there.

“Roma have also shown an interest, but I am not sure they have the money to buy Zigic, so we will wait and see what happens.”
