Retro is always class

The Campo brand, which is modelled around the tag line, ‘Inspired by moments. Influenced by icons’ recently sent me one of their retro football shirts and I was mightily impressed with the product. I had heard about the brand before, and knew that they based themselves around providing quality retro football shirts, but I didn’t know just how excellent this product was going to be. They sell a wide range of old-school football memorabilia for every Premier League club and have a unique, stylish image.

I have never really been a fan of standard, replicated football shirts. They are uncomfortable, can be awkward to wash and are often only acceptable to wear at

your team’s football ground due to the vulgar sponsorship logos embellished on the front. They also go out of date every nine months and become worthless. Campo have presented the modern football fan with an excellent alternative to replica kits, and the ‘Centenario Jersey’ I was sent will certainly be replacing my old replica Spurs shirt at White Hart Lane in the future.

The style and design of ‘Centenario Jersey’ is heavily influenced by shirts once worn by Tottenham, Real Madrid, Santos, Swansea and many more and appears clean and fashionable, yet allows fans to still show their colours. Each shirt shirt comes with a pin badge housing so that the fan can choose which badge they want to show discretely if they wish, as well as flush finish cuffs. It  comes with a modern fashion fit and is made from 100% luxury 200grm cotton, so can also be worn out socially as well as for sport or at your teams ground. The cotton is soft and pleasant to touch, and it genuinely feels like a high quality garment when held in ones hands. However, my favourite part of this shirt is the gorgeous covered button placket. It adds a lovely, finishing touch of class to the shirt, and looks so elegant.

On the whole I would strongly recommend this product. It offers a much classier alternative to the a replica Premier League jersey, and can be worn in numerous different scenarios. It is smart, classy and would be a great addition to any football fan’s wardrobe.
