Five of the best to have worn Spurs and Manchester United shirts

Throughout the years Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United have both bought and created some of the best talent ever seen in the Premier League.

The likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale, Wayne Rooney and Harry Kane have all either donned the white of Spurs or the red of United, but which players have worn both?

Tottenham, to Manchester, and back to Tottenham again, Teddy Sheringham certainly loved a transfer between these two great clubs.
Spurs signed Sheringham in 1992 for a fee of £2.1m, seemingly miniscule compared to today's market.
The England man wasn't slow to make his mark in North London, as he marched towards a golden boot in his first season at the Lane, in the inaugural season of the Premier League.
Sheringham's fine finishing and versatility up front saw him climb to 99 goals in 197 appearances during his first stint with Tottenham, more than enough to catch the eyes of those at English giants Manchester United.
Teddy joined the Red Devils in 1997 for £3.5m as a replacement for the great Eric Cantona, but never really made any inroads into filling the shoes of the legendary forward.
Sheringham only managed 31 league goals in over 100 games for United, before his contract was allowed to run down at the end of the 2000/2001 season.
United was reaping the rewards of a new frontman Ruud Van Nistelrooy, and had no further need for Sheringham's services.
However, all was not lost for Teddy, as Glenn Hoddle offered him a lifeline, signing him up on a free for a sensational return to Tottenham, where he would score a further 26 goals.
He was later inducted into the Tottenham Hotspur Hall of Fame in 2008.
