With Timo Werner returning to RB Leipzig following a disappointing loan spell, five other Tottenham Hotspur players could be on their way out of North London this summer.
With the season now over, a lot of Tottenham Hotspur’s attention is set to turn to matters off the field, as they prepare for next season.
Transfers will take precedence, with the Lilywhites looking to secure reinforcements that would boost their chances of success as they compete on multiple fronts next season, including in the UEFA Champions League.
The transfer rumour mill is in full swing, with soon-to-be free agent Leroy Sane now being linked with a move to Hotspur Way.
However, there are also expected to be several departures this summer, which means some Tottenham players may have potentially played their final game for the club.
Timo Werner is set to return to Leipzig after his poor loan spell, and five players could be joining him. Here are the five players that could have made their final appearance for Tottenham…

Mathys Tel could return to Bayern Munich if clause is not triggered
Since joining in the winter from Bayern Munich, Mathys Tel has proven to be a strong squad option for Ange Postecoglou.
The young Frenchman has shown that he is capable of playing across the front three, as he operated on the left, right and in the centre-forward role when called upon.
However, an agreement has not been reached regarding his option-to-buy clause, which has been set at £46 million. If Tottenham do not activate that clause, it could be farewell to Tel, who certainly seemed to be enjoying life in north London.
Yves Bissouma’s future at Tottenham in serious doubt
Yves Bissouma endured a poor campaign for the most part, and that could very much have sealed the fate of the Malian midfielder.
It was reported earlier this year that Tottenham had held crunch talks regarding Bissouma’s future, and that Spurs have agreed to part ways with Bissouma.
That could still be on the cards, despite his impressive performances in the club’s final European games against Bodo/Glimt and Manchester United.
However, his final Premier League appearance against Brighton served as another reminder of his inconsistency, as he gave away a needless penalty late in the match.
Fraser Forster’s departure from Spurs already decided
Fraser Forster’s fate at Tottenham was effectively sealed in January when the club moved for Antonin Kinsky during the winter transfer window.
The 37-year-old shot-stopper has not featured since 29 December 2024 in Spurs’ 2-2 draw against Wolves.
He has been largely absent from the matchday squad since then, and with his contract set to expire on 30 June, the veteran goalkeeper has almost certainly played his final game for Tottenham.

Richarlison could leave Spurs in search of Brazil return
It was an injury-laden campaign for Richarlison, who spent more time sidelined than on the pitch for Tottenham.
He did feature in the club’s biggest game, starting in the Europa League final ahead of Tottenham captain Heung-min Son.
While he did not find the net, his valiant effort will be fondly remembered by the Tottenham faithful, who watched him give his all on the left flank.
However, recent reports have suggested that Richarlison is now considering his future at Spurs, with the forward seeking a move where he can play primarily as a centre-forward.
Indeed, Richarlison is desperate to make the Brazil squad ahead of the 2026 World Cup, and if a suitable offer comes in, he could very well be on his way out of Tottenham.
Cristian Romero’s Tottenham future still unresolved
Cristian Romero’s contract situation continues to drag on, with the centre-back still yet to put pen to paper to extend his stay at Hotspur Way after rejecting an offer earlier this year.
This has drawn the attention of Spanish sides Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid, with the latter continuing to push for a move after holding talks between Romero and Diego Simeone.
The 27-year-old centre-back was instrumental in Spurs’ Europa League campaign, even winning Player of the Tournament and Man of the Match.
But with Romero publicly expressing his desire to one day play in Spain, and with interest from both Madrid clubs, it is increasingly likely he has played his final game in a Lilywhite shirt. At the very least, he would be leaving on a high.
