Recently, we covered our top five best Tottenham home kits from the 1990s. It proved to be popular, so we’re back again – this time covering the best Spurs home kits from the 1980s.

The 1980s brought a number of trophies to White Hart Lane including success on the European front. In 1984, Spurs defeated RSC Anderlecht in a two-legged affair to bring home the UEFA Cup.

The club won two consecutive FA Cups in 1981 and 1982 as well as finishing in a top five league position on five occasions.

A fruitful spell in the history of Tottenham Hotspur accompanied by a number of iconic home kits.

A classic kit that was a true reflection of the Club – prestigious. Tottenham’s home kit from 1980 to 1982 was arguably one of the best in the Club’s rich history.

It was all white with a thin blue trim around the collar with the Club’s iconic crest centred on the chest. It demanded attention, and attention is what it got.

The shirt was famously worn in the 1981 FA Cup final when Spurs bested Manchester City at Wembley Stadium. The Club would go on to win the 1982 FA Cup too, but wore a yellow kit rather than their lilywhite strip.

The crest was worn proudly and its central positioning spoke volumes in terms of the Club’s proudness of its logo that represents so much to so many people.
