In Focus: Danny Rose

Tottenham extended their winning run in the Premier League to four games today after seeing off a ten-man Cardiff.

Spurs scored inside the first 8 minutes through a fortunate Eric Dier finish. They held on to all three points to put themselves just one point off the leaders.

One man who impressed on a wet and cold day at Wembley was left back Danny Rose.

Rose has shown over the past few weeks that he’s back to his very best, and was unfortunate to be left out against Barca mid week.

The England man flew up and down the flanks today, tracking back with crunching tackles and providing constant width in an attacking sense too.

What really stood out was Rose’s tenacity, as he was one of the few players out there to really get stuck into his challenges.

After a period of uncertainty around Rose’s future, it seems as if the full back is now keen to add to his decade of Spurs service.

Ben Davies could find it difficult to regain a regular spot in the starting line up if Rose’s performances continue, although Pochettino has shown that he likes to rotate the left back position.

Well done Danny!
