A look ahead to Liverpool v Spurs

Spurs go into this game on the back of a total demolition of a Manchester United side, who were on an undefeated run of 8 games prior to Wednesday night.

Despite the scoreline reading 2-0, Spurs should and could have had at least 2 or 3 more goals, against a star-studded line-up.

Although Liverpool are a different kettle of fish, in terms of playing style etc, they like Manchester United, have an abundance of attacking players, but I do feel this Spurs defence will hold firm, conceding a maximum of 2 goals. Before anyone says “what ?”, I also believe with Liverpool’s weak defence and poor goalkeepers, Spurs will score 3, and so just edge this closely fought encounter!

Liverpool at Anfield are very difficult to beat, as the records show, but records are there to be broken. However in the past Liverpool teams always had solid a defence, and most of the time, excellent goalkeepers, but not now.

That I hope and believe will be the key to this very interesting contest, along with who Spurs will play as their 2 wing-backs. Due to the pace of the Liverpool front 3, I think it is imperative that Spurs play Aurier and Rose, as opposed to Trippier and Davies. In the reverse fixture, Spurs did over-run Liverpool and won comfortably 4-1, which will also help them psychologically going into this match.

For neutrals, this is the game of the weekend, and plenty of goals are being predicted, I just hope there will be at least 1 more goal scored by Spurs!
