Opinion: Dream combined North London Derby XI between Spurs and Arsenal

Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal go head-to-head in the North London Derby this weekend, and we wanted to see what a current combined XI would look like.

Despite his recent errors, Hugo Lloris just about edges out Aarons Ramsdale. I think you would always take the World Cup winner who has been world-class for the past decade and can earn you points from nothing, over Ramsdale.

In the back three, only Cristian Romero is named from the Tottenham squad, with the incredible Saliba in the central sweeper role, and the adaptable Zinchenko at left-centre-back.

At right-wing-back, Dejan Kulusevski fills in, as he has covered in that position in the past. However, he and Bukayo Saka at right-wing can interchange for fun on that side.

On the left, Ivan Perisic comes in at wing-back due to the sheer number of assists he has racked up this season. Martinelli is named at left-wing, meaning the out-of-form Heung-min Son misses out.

The rather attacking midfield consists of the best from each team, Rodrigo Bentancur and Martin Odegaard. Creativity for fun in there! And, of course, Harry Kane leads the line.
