With the future of the Premier League season still up in the air, we have decided to run the Spurs Web 2019/20 season to date awards a little early this year.
Without any further ado…
Player of the Year 2019/20 – Heung-min Son
In the absence of Harry Kane, Son stepped up once again for the club with consistent goals. Even though it has been far from his best season, he still managed to keep the Lilywhites ticking over when it mattered until he suffered his arm fracture at Villa Park.
Best Newcomer – Giovani Lo Celso
The Argentine burst into life in the second half of the season and has arugably been our best player since Christmas. Hopefully he can continue to impress as and when the season starts once again.
Breakthrough star – Japhet Tanganga
All eyes were on Troy Parrott at the start of the season, but it was Tanganga who came through from the academy to seal a regular first-team spot, and what a sensation he has been.
MORE SPURS STORIES
Goal of the season – Heung-min Son
That solo run from his own penalty area against Burnley is likely the winner of the Premier League goal of the season competition, let alone the Tottenham one!
Best visual effects – Dele Alli – They are not always warranted or welcomed, but Dele Alli has pulled off some outrageous flicks and tricks this season. His touch for the goal at Old Trafford was sublime.
Most improved player – Serge Aurier – His defending still leaves a lot to be desired but Aurier has made up for it with some superb attacking returns this season.
