Tottenham Hotspur take on Brighton at home on Boxing Day, which will be music to the ears of both Tottenham fans and players who won’t have far to travel.
However, Spurs will be under pressure to get a result and to make a statement after that woeful display against Chelsea on Sunday.
While Jose Mourinho has done well since coming in, it could be argued that he has underperformed tactically against the three ‘big’ teams in Man United, Chelsea, and Bayern Munich. However, the latter was a bit of a nothing game.
Spurs were well beaten at home by the Blues on Sunday and the gap between them and Chelsea has now extended back to six points. Tottenham cannot afford to fall further behind in the race for the top four.
I believe that Tottenham will win 4-0 on Boxing Day, giving the fans a show in the process, with two goals from Harry Kane, one from Dele Alli, and one from Ryan Sessegnon.
