They produced the not so sweet FA Cup

At least players and fans alike can see why, most of those Spurs players who started this afternoon against Rochdale, don’t play that regularly as most others.

Pochettino cannot be serious playing Llorente in a Spurs shirt ever again, after another useless performance! His positional play is terrible, one or two half decent knockdowns, but he CANNOT finish for christ’s sake.

Once again Sissoko had a game full of energy, running around, but without achieving anything, apart from the pass to Moura his first goal, he doesn’t bring anything to Spurs.

Son, needs so many chances to score one, we can’t afford to play him in the really important games anymore. Too often he lost control of the ball, ran into a dead-alley, or squandered great chances.

Wanyama is too slow on the ball, and he missed a sitter, why didn’t he try to head that chance at the far post, and it would have been game over.

Danny Rose was energetic but that was about all, losing possession, and his final ball was crap, he can’t cross a ball to save his life.

Trippier had a good game, but his final ball let him down too, including his free kicks, he couldn’t find a white shirt with any of them.

Winks had good moments, but getting dispossessed in his own half, which led to Rochdale’s opening goal wasn’t one of them.

Toby Alderwiereld had a shocker, and Pochettino’s decision not to play him against Juventus, has been proven as 100% correct.

For me, our MOTM was new signing Lucas Moura, he was causing them lots of problems in the first half, but Lorente and Son weren’t giving him anyone to aim at, and finally in the second half, he took his goal really well.

It was only the changes in the second half, of bringing on Kane, Alli and Lamela, did Spurs start to take control of this FA Cup tie.

Alli forced a definite penalty, which Harry Kane dispatched with style, but alas, instead of keeping possession for the last two minutes of added time, Spurs gave the ball away, and paid the price, Rochdale equalized.

So once again in this tournament Spurs have been forced into another unwanted replay at Wembley.

I said this before the last round tie, why doesn’t Pochettino play his strongest team from the off, try and secure a 2/3 goal cushion, then sub those players, such as Kane and Alli, as this reverse tactic has failed twice now this season?!
