Tottenham Hotspur’s transfer dealings for the 24/25 season have now been completed, but how well have the new signings performed so far? Let’s find out.
Tottenham Hotspur have been busy in the transfer market this season, with the Lilywhites spending £145.23 on nine players.
Although some have impressed in their first season at Hotspur Way, others have not quite lived up to expectations.
Let’s rate the performances of each new signing for Spurs so far this season on a scale of 1-10, to see which players have impressed the most.
How Tottenham Hotspur’s new signings have fared this season
These ratings take into account players who were signed from the start of the summer window, down to the just concluded winter window. We have also included those who were signed last season but only arrived this summer, like Lucas Bergvall.
Antonin Kinsky will push Guglielmo Vicario at Tottenham
Kinsky was brought in very early in January as Spurs were going through an injury crisis that saw both Vicario and Fraser Forster sidelined.
As a result, the 21-year-old who was signed from Slavia Prague was thrown right in the thick of it, with his first start coming in the semi-final of the Carabao Cup against Liverpool.
He handled that well, kept a clean sheet, was good in the air, good with playing out from the back and made some impressive saves. He has since played eight games and has looked solid, but not without a few nervy moments.

Given his age, the jump he made from the Czech League to the Premier League and the circumstances of his debut, this signing looks like a pretty solid buy. 7/10.
Kevin Danso has been an instant Spurs success
Since signing for the Lilywhites, Danso has looked like a player born to play in this system. Despite playing just three games, his passing, decision making and understanding of Postecoglou’s system have been really good.
He is a solid backup option that will only improve with more game time. Add to that, the fans already seem to love this signing. 7/10.

Archie Gray has been one of Spurs’ top performers
The 18-year-old was signed from Leeds United for £40m, and he looks like he is worth every penny. Yes, the injury crisis allowed him to play more games, however, it is the way he has performed that makes him such a good signing.
He seems to go about his work effortlessly, he is versatile (can play in four different positions) and still very young.

The sky is the limit for the Englishman. This season has been a good learning curve, and in seasons to come, Spurs will reap the rewards of this signing. 9/10.
Lucas Bergvall is a Tottenham star of the future
Bergvall did not have the best of starts to life in north London. However, in the last few months, he has looked like a player who is maturing rather quickly.
He has popped up with a few goals here and there and each time he plays, he is always ready to run his socks off. He is still only 18, but the potential is clear to see. 7.5/10.
Wilson Odobert hasn’t got going yet in North London
Injuries have seriously disrupted the 20-year-old’s first spell at Spurs. However, based on his brief cameos this season, you can see that he is a player with a lot of talent.
Season | Injury | From | Until | Days Out | Games Missed | Club |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
24/25 | Hamstring Injury | Sep 18, 2024 | Oct 23, 2024 | 36 | 7 | Tottenham Hotspur |
24/25 | Hamstring Injury | Oct 27, 2024 | Feb 13, 2025 | 110 | 27 | Tottenham Hotspur |
His injury record is scary because you do not want a situation where he is only able to play ten games a season – given the current fixture schedule that is just not ideal. It is still a wait-and-see for me. 5/10.
Mathys Tel has only played a few games for Tottenham
It is still early days for Tel who has only played 225 minutes. Regardless, he has got himself a goal and has looked decent in his last two outings against Aston Villa and Manchester United.
But we have not seen enough to judge how good a signing he has been for Spurs. The signs are there, but time would Tel. N/A.
Dominic Solanke has surpassed expectation in N17
Solanke is a huge miss for Spurs but the press rarely mention him. This kind of surprises me, given the role he plays in this team.
Solanke is not just a striker who scores goals, he is a striker that allows Tottenham to defend from the front. His pressing, his linkup play and finishing, are attributes that we are currently missing in this team.
When he is fit and playing, he makes us a much better team offensively and defensively. Simply because no one else can do what he does to the level he does it, we are giving Solanke an 8.5/10.
Yang Min-hyeok is out on loan
The South Korean starlet is yet to kick a ball for Tottenham. Yang seems to be impressing on loan with QPR though. 5/10.
