Spurs half time ratings vs Brentford – Another awful half lacking creativity

Tottenham head into the break against Thomas Frank’s side currently 1-0 behind after yet another poor performance.

Fraser Forster: Making his Premier League debut for Spurs this afternoon. Little he could do to stop the opening goal. Saved well with his legs to deny Zanka before the half. 6.

Matt Doherty: Recalled in place of Emerson after a rich vein of goalscoring form in the recent friendlies. Had an early chance to get the ball into the box but picked the wrong option. 5.

Japhet Tanganga: A first Premier League start since January. Easily beaten in the air during the build-up to the goal, sloppy in possession. 4.

Eric Dier: Nothing special whatsoever. 5.

Clement Lenglet Saw the ball deflect off his leg into the path of Forster for the opener. 5.

Ivan Perisic: Little more than a passenger on the left. 5.

Yves Bissouma: Has not got into his rhythm and get the ball moving quickly. Can count himself very lucky that his poor attempt to keep hold of the ball just before half time resulted in Ivan Toney being offside. 4.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg: Has found it difficult with Brentford dominating the midfield battle 5.

Dejan Kulusevski: The only player who has tried to make things happen in the final third of the pitch 6.

Heung-min Son: Had a shot on 24 minutes but failed to make a good connection with the ball which summed up his half. 5.

Harry Kane: Saw his first attempt on goal from a free-kick deflected off the wall for a corner, has not been in the game. 5.
