Spurs half time ratings vs Everton – Rescued by Richarlison

Here’s how we rated the Tottenham Hotspur players following the opening forty-five minutes of action in this afternoon’s early Premier League clash against Everton at Goodison Park.

Ange Postecoglou’s side head into the break currently 2-1 ahead courtesy of Richarlion’s double.

Guglielmo Vicario: Is finding himself under immense pressure from corner kicks after the Man City goal, Everton’s equaliser was a carbon copy. Harrison was backing into Vicario, but when are we going to put an outfield player on the opponent who is putting pressure on the keeper? Did amazingly well to clear from the corner in injury time. 6.

Pedro Porro: Has been pinned back in his own half for the majority of the first 45′. Did well to shelter the ball from Calvert-Lewin just before the break. 5.

Cristian Romero: Continuing to skipper the side in Son’s absence, needs to sort out what is happening from defensive set pieces. Was a lucky boy when he gifted the ball to Gana. 5.

Micky van de Ven: His pace is such an asset to the Tottenham backline. 6.

Destiny Udogie: Did really well to hold his line and provide the assist for Richarlison’s opener. 6.

Rodrigo Bentancur: The space between the Uruguyan and Hojbjerg at times is just too wide and allowing Everton to dominate the midfield. 5.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg: Recalled to the starting eleven after a decent shift against Brentford, has struggled to impose himself on the game. 5.

James Maddison: Had struggled to have any impact on the match up until Richarlison’s second when he showed great footwork to tee up the Brazilian. 6.

Brennan Johnson: Preferred to Kulusevski and has done nothing to warrant his recall. 4.

Richarlison: Took just three minutes to find the back of the net against his former side. His second was breathtaking. 7.

Timo Werner: Linked up well with Udogie in the build-up to Richarlison’s opening goal. 5.
