Spurs half time ratings vs Sporting – Struggling to create once again

Tottenham head into the break against Rúben Amorim’s side currently level at 0-0.

Hugo Lloris: Got down well to tip the ball around his post after six minutes and saved his side from going behind after Edwards took on half of the Spurs team. 6.

Emerson Royal: Played a good ball into the six-yard box which none of his teammates took a gamble on. 6.

Cristian Romero: With Sporting playing without a focal point to their attack, he has not had a typical physical battle on his hands. 5.

Eric Dier: Played a great ball over the top for Richarlison, only for the linesman to incorrectly flag for offside. Was put on his backside by Edwards just before the half. 5.

Ben Davies: Has been kept busy by the threat of Marcus Edwards. 5.

Ivan Perisic: Played a good cross onto the head of Richarlison, has tried to get the ball into dangerous areas. 6.

Rodrigo Bentancur: Has been outnumbered in midfield, which hasn’t helped his cause. 5.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg: Alike Bentancur, the numerical advantage in his area of the pitch by the Portuguese has caused issues. 5.

Richarlison: Had a good chance to open the scoring halfway through the first half but could not get the power on his header, should have done better. Saw his goal ruled out for offside, not the first time he has seen the flag raised on his behalf but finished well. 5.

Heung-min Son: Another frustrating half from the South Korean. 5.

Harry Kane: Has struggled to have an impact on the match by his usual standards. 5.
