Spurs half time ratings vs West Ham – So many missed chances

Here’s how we rated the Spurs players following the opening forty-five minutes of action in this evening’s Premier League clash against West Ham United at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Ange Postecoglou‘s side head into the break currently a goal to the good, thanks to a Cristian Romero headed goal after 11 minutes, and have been largely untroubled by their London rivals so far tonight.

Guglielmo Vicario: Hardly had anything to do apart from the odd goal kick. 6.

Pedro Porro: Pushing high and looking as dangerous as ever. Provided the corner for Romero’s goal. 7.

Cristian Romero: Straight back into the starting line-up following his suspension and straight onto the scoresheet with a fine header from a corner. Appears to be going into challenges with a lot more consideration. 7.

Ben Davies: Stepping out of defence confidently early on in the half. Did get outmuscled by Mohammed Kudus on the edge of the box, which nearly led to a West Ham goal. 5.

Destiny Udogie: Bursting forward with his usual fervour. Caught in possession once or twice, but has put in some really clever defending against Vladimir Coufal. 6.

Yves Bissouma: Looked far more composed and confident. Has dictated the play in the middle of the park. 7.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg: Made a couple of early mistakes. Lost the ball a couple of times via sluggish play. 5.

Giovani Lo Celso: Tidy footwork in the middle of the park for the most part. Missed a gilt-edge chance. Lost ball a couple of times, but has looked dangerous when roaming forward. 6.

Dejan Kulusevski: Moved back out to the right wing and looked a little off the pace – lacking the impact he made during his time in the middle of the pitch in the last two games. 5.

Heung-min Son: Trying very hard to make things tick in that central area but has had very little in the way of good service so far. 5.

Brennan Johnson: Slick passing early on, but became a little careless with the ball as the half went on. Has failed to deliver any good balls into the box from dangerous areas. 5.
