Spurs half time ratings vs Wolves – One moment of creativity

Here’s how we rated the Tottenham Hotspur players following the opening forty-five minutes of action in this afternoon’s Premier League clash against Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux.

Ange Postecoglou’s side head into the break currently 1-0 ahead.

Guglielmo Vicario: Did well to get down low to save from Lemina just after the half hour mark which was the first time he had been tested. 6.

Pedro Porro: His pinpoint ball across the six-yard box allowed Johnson to tap home. 6.

Eric Dier: Made his first start of the season. A couple of nervy moments early on. 5.

Emerson Royal: Has had his hands full with Semedo down the flank. Booked for a foolish lunging challenge just before half time. 5.

Ben Davies: Made an important block on ten minutes to deny a shot on goal. Thankfully Wolves have not troubled the Welshman or Dier with trying to get in behind them. 6.

Pape Matar Sarr: Has not played at his usual level, has struggled to make anything happen. 5.

Yves Bissouma: Has not looked as threatening on the ball since his red card at Luton. Booked and will now miss the match against Aston Villa. 5.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg: Lost possession of the ball on at least four occasions. 5.

Dejan Kulusevski: A clever flick opened the space in behind for Porro to cross to Johnson – Spurs’ biggest threat, especially in the first half hour. 7.

Heung-min Son: Has not had much to play off with so many changes in th side happening behind him, the lack of creativity in midfield is harming the South Korean. 5.

Brennan Johnson: Made a clever run at the back post to tap home to score his first Spurs goal. Needs to be used as more of an attacking outlet. 6.
