How the Spurs players rated in the first half vs Sunderland
Below, we have given each Tottenham player a performance rating on a scale of 0-10, with 10 highest score achievable for an impressive performance.
Guglielmo Vicario – 6
Has been a passenger in the first half with Sunderland rarely threatening to score.
Pedro Porro – 5
Has had a couple of crosses from the right, still needs to deliver better with his weaker left foot.
Cristian Romero – 6
Showed good composure to bring the ball under control and play it back across goal for Tottenham’s opener.
Micky van de Ven – 6
At first glance, it looked as if the Dutchman had scored yet another goal, but will settle for the assist.
Ben Davies – 6
The Welshman reacted quickest to tap home from close range to put his side ahead. Has also been tasked with long throws.
Archie Gray – 5
Another start for the teenager who has carried the ball forward well.
Rodrigo Bentancur – 5
Has broken up the play on a couple of occasions, needs to influence things higher up the pitch.
Mathys Tel – 7
A rare start for the Frenchman. Had an early shot on target and another after 25 mins which went the wrong side of the post. Has shown plenty of energy out on the left.
Wilson Odobert – 5
Operating in the number ten role, still needs to make better decisions when in possession.
Mohammed Kudus – 5
Picked up an injury to his left thigh after sixteen minutes and was replaced by Randal Kolo Muani.
Richarlison – 5
Thought was about to score from close range with a header early on. Failed to get his spectacular bicycle effort on goal just before half time.
Randal Kolo Muani – 6
An early replacement in the first half for the injured Kudus, has looked lively.
