10. Jimmy Dimmock
One of the most prominent figures in the early history of Tottenham Hotspur, Jimmy Dimmock’s service to the club and his impressive goalscoring record made him a fan-favourite at Spurs and he remains a true legend in North London.
He scored the winning goal in the 1921 FA Cup final at just 20-years-old, and the pacy left-winger was regarded as one of the most exciting and skilful players of his generation.

9. Alan Gilzean
After moving from Dundee, Alan Gilzean went on to forge an incredibly successful career with Spurs, where he would become one of the club’s all-time leading goalscorers. The Scotsman formed a frightening partnership with Jimmy Greaves, with Gilzean’s graceful, methodical style of play the perfect foil for his prolific teammate.
Gilzean was part of the Spurs side that won the FA Cup in 1967, the League Cup in 1971, and the UEFA Cup in 1972.

8. Hugo Lloris
Modern readers will not need reminding who Hugo Lloris is, but just in case, the Frenchman was the club’s number one keeper for a decade, and club captain for just shy of ten years, too. Lloris was almost ever-present throughout the Mauricio Pochettino era at Spurs, and led the Lilywhites to the Champions League final in 2019. which included a memorable penalty save at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium against Manchester City.
The World Cup-winning keeper saw his career take a turn for the worst in the 2022/23 season, however, with a number of errors leading to goals against Spurs. He was eventually injured towards the end of that campaign, and with the arrival of Guglielmo Vicario, Lloris never played for the club again and ended up moving to LAFC

7. Ted Ditchburn
Our goalkeeper for that historic First Division win in 1950/51, playing every game that season, and he continued to be first-choice keeper for years to come. Ted Ditchburn was a key component in Tottenham’s famous ‘push and run’ tactic, with his distribution from the back integral to the success of the system.
He was a goalkeeper blessed with excellent reflexes, a natural calmness, and a solid command of his area. Fun fact: Ditchburn made 247 consecutive league appearances between April 1948 and March 1954. Talk about consistency.

6. Heung-min Son

4. Cyril Knowles

He is one of only five players to make more than 500 appearances for the Lilywhites, and was beloved by the Spurs fans for his hard-working and passionate displays. He even got his own chant he was that popular — Nice one Cyril.

3. Pat Jennings

The Northern Irishman is widely considered one of the greatest to ever stand between the posts, and he actually made over 1000 appearances throughout his career.
In his 13-year stay with Spurs, Jennings won the FA Cup, the UEFA Cup, and the League Cup twice. He even scored a goal for the Lilywhites in the Charity Shield of 1967. He was the first goalkeeper to win the PFA Player of the Year Award, and still remains one of only two to do so.
