Luka Vuskovic’s first FIFA World Cup appearance has sparked plenty of debate among Tottenham Hotspur supporters.
While Luka Vuskovic awaits his first competitive game in a Tottenham Hotspur shirt, the young Croat has since reached a significant milestone for his country.
At just 19 years old, Vuskovic featured in his first-ever World Cup match for Croatia, facing England on matchday one of the competition.
However, it was not the best of outings for the Croats, who were comfortably beaten 4-2 as Harry Kane and co. ran rampant.

Tottenham fans react to Luka Vuskovic World Cup debut
Following his recent performance, many Tottenham fans have now taken to social media to react to Vuskovic‘s display.
Many supporters of the Lilywhites were not entirely convinced, with several believing the defender still has plenty of room for improvement.
One Tottenham fan said, “Just one game, but definitely a reality check for both him and the fanbase. Yes, he had two great loan spells and there is potential, but there are also some glaring weaknesses in his game. I get why RDZ prefers Micky, Senesi and Van Hecke over him.”
Another added: “I’m no longer worried if he’s loaned out again or sold for a huge fee. Very raw.”
A third commented: “Very up and down (6/10). Did great work for Croatia’s first goal and made some good defensive contributions in the first half, but he looked really slow besides that. With Van Hecke arriving, I think loaning him out to a club like Brighton so he can get Premier League experience might be perfect for us.”
Meanwhile, another Tottenham fan stated: “Disappointing. I’m guilty of believing the hype. That being said, it was one performance lasting 60 mins against Harry Kane et al. So shouldn’t read too much into it.”
A final supporter commented: “Another player overrated by our fans when they didn’t watch anything other than him scoring headers.”
