Ally McCoist predicts Tottenham and West Ham’s next five results, and who will get relegated

Ally McCoist has predicted the results of Tottenham’s and West Ham’s five remaining fixtures, with the pundit expecting the race for survival to go right down to the wire.

While Nottingham Forest and Leeds United are mathematically still not safe, Opta’s Supercomputer suggests that both of those clubs are extremely unlikely to go down.

West Ham and Spurs, who are separated by two points, are battling to finish 17th and avoid joining Burnley and Wolves in the Championship next season.

Tottenham fans are thus set for an extremely nervy next month, but one pundit believes that there will not be much separating the two London rivals at the end.

Ally McCoist predicts final day heartbreak for Tottenham

McCoist has now predicted the results of Tottenham’s and West Ham’s final five remaining matches, and he believes that the Hammers will pick up three points from their next four matches, while the Lilywhites will pick up four points in their next four.

McCoist’s West Ham predictions:

• Draw with Everton
• Draw with Brentford
• Draw with Arsenal
• Loss to Newcastle
• Win vs Leeds

McCoist’s Tottenham predictions:

• Win vs Wolves
• Loss to Villa
• Draw with Leeds
• Loss to Chelsea
• Draw with Everton

He expects just a point to separate the two London sides heading into the final game of the season.

However, McCoist has backed West Ham to beat Leeds at home in their final game of the season, while he expects Everton to hold Tottenham to a draw.

If his predictions are right, Nuno Espirito Santo’s men will finish with 39 points, while Roberto De Zerbi’s men will finish with 36 points.

Can Spurs hold their nerve if the battle for survival goes down to the wire?

Tottenham will desperately want to avoid going into the final game of the season with their Premier League status on the line.

While West Ham fans and some of their players are used to the pressure of a relegation battle, the same cannot be said about the Spurs squad, who find themselves in uncharted territory.

The pressure on the Tottenham squad will be immense heading into the final game or two. The prospect of the club’s first relegation in nearly 50 years could instil a fear of failure in De Zerbi’s men.
