A Tottenham star, who only featured once in pre-season, has hinted that he could be fit to play a part in the club’s Premier League season-opener against Brentford.
Even though Tottenham brought six players through the door and did so before the start of pre-season, the club go into their opening game of the season short of options in attack.
Spurs have been unable to strengthen their forward line so far, which has given Roberto De Zerbi a big headache as he prepares for the trip to the Gtech Community Stadium.
Wilson Odobert, Xavi Simons and Dejan Kulusevski are still injured, while Mohammed Kudus has not featured in pre-season despite returning to training.

Dominic Solanke hints at Tottenham return ahead of Brentford clash
The other issue for Spurs is the fitness of Dominic Solanke, who missed almost the entirety of last season due to multiple injuries.
The England international has featured just twice for Tottenham in pre-season, and has not been involved in any of the friendlies since the squad returned from their tour of Australia and New Zealand.
Some eagle-eyed Spurs fans noticed Solanke training in the background during the club’s 2-2 draw against Hoffenheim on Sunday at Hotspur Way.
The 28-year-old has now taken to Instagram to write: “Almost time” along with an hourglass emoji, as the new season draws closer.
Richarlison is likely to lead the line against Brentford
Given Solanke’s lack of minutes in pre-season, one would expect Richarlison to get the nod to start up front on Saturday, with the Brazilian continuing to bang in goals during pre-season.
If Solanke is passed fit to start, one cannot rule out the possibility of the Brazilian starting out wide and the England international leading the line, given the lack of fit wide players at De Zerbi’s disposal at the moment.
However, Richarlison’s future at Tottenham is still far from secure, with a late exit from Hotspur Way still thought to be on the cards for the striker.
