Richarlison could still seal a late exit from Tottenham Hotspur, even though the striker looks in line to start the Lilywhites’ opening game of the season in four days.
The Brazilian’s future has been a hot topic in each of the last few summers, but he has ended up staying each time and getting plenty of minutes.
Despite ending last season as Tottenham’s top scorer, Richarlison’s future in North London is once again far from secure as we head into the final stretch in the transfer window.
Earlier this month, Roberto De Zerbi hinted that the Brazilian is unsure if he wants to stay at Spurs. However, the Tottenham boss also praised the forward’s goalscoring instinct and admitted that replacing him will not be easy.

Roberto De Zerbi’s stance on Richarlison revealed as Everton remain in contact with Tottenham
TEAMtalk have now revealed that Everton have been in regular contact with Spurs over re-signing Richarlison this summer.
The Toffees have been exploring a potential move for the 29-year-old since the end of last season, as they look to add more goals to their forward line.
The report says that De Zerbi is currently not forcing Richarlison to leave Tottenham, but the Italian has informed the striker that he is free to find a new club.
However, the outlet makes it clear that David Moyes’ men would first need to move on one of Thierno Barry and Beto before pushing ahead with a move for the Spurs man.
Everton have not made an offer for Richarlison yet
On Monday, Tottenham insider Szyexcl claimed that Spurs had turned down an offer from the Merseyside club for Richarlison.
However, this latest update from TEAMtalk denies that claim, insisting that the Toffees are yet to make any formal bid for their former player.
The website also reveals that Richarlison is not the only striker on Everton’s radar, with the club also keeping a close eye on Chelsea’s Liam Delap.
It was previously reported that Tottenham would demand close to £40m to let the Brazilian international leave at this stage of the window.
