Ange Postecoglou has confirmed he’s closing in on the source of internal leaks at Tottenham Hotspur, admitting the club is narrowing down who has been feeding information to the outside.
Ange Postecoglou was back in front of the press for the second time following Tottenham Hotspur’s 1-1 draw away to Eintracht Frankfurt in the Europa League quarterfinal first leg.
The Australian had rung the changes for that clash, with Destiny Udogie coming in for Djed Spence at left-back, while Brennan Johnson kept his place in the front three after an eye-catching display against Southampton, where he bagged a brace.
Competition for places in the frontline has been fierce, with Mikey Moore, Wilson Odobert, Mathys Tel and Johnson all pushing for minutes on the right-hand side.
However, ahead of the Frankfurt tie, rumours of an injury to Odobert began making the rounds online — even before the squad was announced.

Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou says he’s close to finding source of internal leaks
That situation has now been addressed by Ange Postecoglou, and the Spurs boss made it clear that he’s well aware of what’s going on behind the scenes. He didn’t hold back, admitting that these leaks are doing nothing but harm to the team.
Speaking to football.london, he said: “There’s no doubt we’ve got a leak inside the club. I don’t know why. It doesn’t help us. We’ve narrowed it down.
“I’ve got a fair idea where it’s coming from. It certainly doesn’t help us on game days. It’s sometimes half-truths and sometimes more. You’d like to think that everyone within our camp is working with us rather than against us.”
Leaks hurt Spurs competitiveness and disrupt Postecoglou plans
It certainly doesn’t help the manager or his squad when key information about team selection is leaked before games. These details, even if seemingly small, give opponents the chance to adjust their tactics and nullify any element of surprise.
The frustration from Postecoglou is justified. Any head coach would feel undermined if internal matters started becoming public knowledge. He’s clearly not willing to let this slide, and if he already has a good idea of who’s responsible, then action surely isn’t far off.
