It is no exaggeration to say that Tottenham Hotspur currently have one of the most exciting young prospects in world football on their books, so just who is Mikey Moore?
The crown jewel of Tottenham’s young prospects, Moore – who will still be a teenager until August 2027 – already has appearances in the Premier League, Europe and SPL.
He’s considered a member of Tottenham’s first-team squad, which already shows just how special he is.
So, here’s all you need to know about Mikey Moore. From his role on the pitch, to his career at club level and international level, through to his market value and salary.
Mikey Moore’s position explained
Mikey Moore predominantly plays as a winger, most commonly on the left-hand side, where he is able to cut inside onto his preferred right foot.
He can also play out wide on the right, or through the middle in a number 10 playmaker role, if needed. The youngster has also played more directly as a striker in the past, but his best position is certainly out wide on either wing.
At the time of writing, the majority of his football (30 games) has come from the left wing, where he’s scored seven goals and made eight assists. While the wing is his best position, he has a sterling record as a centre forward. He’s scored 11 goals and made four assists in just eight matches there.
Mikey Moore’s Spurs career so far
After being invited to train with the first-team squad back in April of 2023 Moore never looked back, impressing Postecoglou and earning his Premier League debut as a result.
Moore has developed through the ranks at Spurs via the academy and the youth teams. When it became clear he was ready for bigger things, Postecoglou kept Moore close to the senior squad at the end of the 2023/24 campaign, through the summer, and into 2024/25.
He made his senior debut for Spurs against Manchester City, with a one minute substitute appearance on May 14, 2024. Moore got another couple of minutes against Sheffield United on the final day of the season.
After his full debut, Postcoglou told Football.London how happy he was with his young star, saying: “He’s got so much growth and he wants to learn. I couldn’t be happier with him and I’m very pleased that he’s part of our football club.”
James Maddison has also been full of praise for his teammate, telling Football.London: “I have to sometimes pinch myself and remember how young he is. He’s 17 and came into the group when he was 16. He’s a man already. When I watch him play, he’s very powerful and only going to get stronger as his body grows.
“He’s a great kid. A really well-mannered, polite young man and that’s a credit to his parents. That’s the first thing you look to as a senior player. And then there’s that ability which we see in training all the time and the Spurs fans want to see more of.”
This all came after Moore had been prolific for Tottenham’s Under-18s. He registered 25 goal contributes in just 14 matches during the 2023/24 season. Moore moved up to the U21s for 2024/25, but still remained a member of Postecoglou’s matchday squad.
In total, Moore played 22 times across a range of competitions – including the Europa League wins over Ferencavros, AZ Alkmaar and Elfsborg. In the latter, Moore scored for his very first goal for Spurs in a 3-0 win.
Following the win versus Alkmaar, James Maddison compared the youngster to Neymar. He said: “From minute 45 to 65 I thought we had Neymar on the left wing. He was brilliant, demanding the ball, fearless, with that young fearless mentality and you never want to take that away from him.
He finished the season with one goal and two assists across 19 senior appearances. With Moore’s potential obvious, another season playing a bit-part role would have been the wrong call.
That led to a loan switch to Rangers.
How did Mikey Moore perform at Rangers?
Mikey Moore joined Rangers ahead of the 2025/26 season on loan.
With the Scottish giants, Moore played a total of 47 matches, scoring seven goals, while registering four assists. This included six in the SPL, including one in a 3-1 win away to Celtic in the Old Firm Derby.
While it was ultimately an unsuccessful season for Rangers who finished third, Moore won both Ranger’s Young Player of the year and PFA Scotland Young Player of the year.
Mikey Moore’s market value and salary
Mikey Moore’s transfer value on Transfermarkt has soared since he was given his first valuation back in October 2024.
That first one suggested he was worth only £835,000. Fast forward to today and the figure is a whopping €18m, or £15.4m. In reality, the figure Spurs would demand would be much, much higher and there is little suggestion the Lilywhites have any interest in cashing in on him.
Moore’s immense potential and close ties to Tottenham – he’s been with the club since 2016 – surely mean he’s destined to be a key player on N17 one day.
He signed his first professional contract just after turning 17 in August 2024, before signing a new contract on his 18th birthday a year later. That tied him down to Spurs until 2030.

Mikey Moore was born on August 11, 2007, meaning despite his growing experience, he won’t even be turning 20 until next year. He was born in London, England, and was raised as a Tottenham fan.
He is 1.80m tall, and weighs 75kg. Generally speaking, Moore has quite a slight frame, but for his age, he is fairly robust.

Mikey Moore is an England star in the making
Just as he has done at club level, Mikey Moore has shot up through the different age groups for England, and currently turns out for the Under-19s squad.
He made his debut for the Under-15s in April 2022, but just four caps and four months later he was joining up with the Under-16s. Moore earned 15 caps at that level, scoring seven goals.
Moore enjoyed a terrific European Championships with the Under-17 side in May 2024, scoring four goals in four games and bagging an assist as the Three Lions made it to the quarter-finals. In October 2025, he scored a first hattrick for England U19s as they crushed Belgium 4-1.
He’s scored seven goals in 14 games at the time of writing.
