Ange Postecoglou reveals what he thought of the atmosphere inside the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium against Man Utd on Sunday as fan protests took place inside and outside the ground.

A much-needed win hyphenated by fan protests
Spurs overcame Man Utd 1-0 on Sunday to register what was their first home win in the Premier League since November.
It was a much-needed three points for the Lilywhites, who had been subject to intense criticism by pundits over recent weeks while there was also continued speculation over the future of Ange Postecoglou.
The win will certainly help relieve some of the pressure on the side, but it might not relieve the pressure on the owners as the fans protested in the thousands ahead of the game, expressing their displeasure at how Daniel Levy and ENIC have run the club.

Ange Postecoglou asked about Tottenham fan protests
Even the win did not do much to ease the pressure on Levy as there was a sit-in protest in the stadium after the game in the South Stand, with the supporters calling for a change of ownership.
However, Postecoglou insisted that the protests did not do anything to dampen the atmosphere during the game, praising the fans for how they got behind the side.
When asked if the protests outside affected the atmosphere on Sunday, the Tottenham boss said (via Alasdair Gold): “Well, I mean, obviously I wasn’t outside so I can’t comment on that, but I thought the fans were great today in the stadium. I thought they got behind the team and it was important.
“Like I said it was an important game for us, considering, the build-up for the week and how we had an opportunity to just have a breather and kind of assess things and also allow us to work with the players leading into it. You know all the fans contributed to us getting the result we needed.”

Spurs fans have had little to cheer over recent months
The atmosphere at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium has turned toxic on occasions over recent months, given how the results of gone and the growing feeling that the owners have failed to back yet another manager.
Postecoglou faces a difficult challenge in uniting the club, which is only possible if the team’s results improve, and Spurs move towards the top six, where they belong.
After a long time, the Tottenham faithful had something to cheer yesterday, and they certainly got behind the side and gave them the extra energy needed to get over the line.
