A new report revealed what Nottingham Forest are expecting Morgan Gibbs-White to do this summer as Tottenham continue to circle over the midfielder.

Nottingham Forest prevented Spurs from landing Gibbs-White last summer, despite the Lilywhites activating his confidential release clause.

In fact, it was reported that the Forest midfielder personally apologised to Thomas Frank after the move fell through last summer.

Several sources have indicated over the last couple of months that Spurs are plotting a fresh approach for the 26-year-old this summer.

Nottingham Forest are confident regarding the future of Tottenham target Morgan Gibbs-White

TEAMtalk have now claimed that Gibbs-White and fellow midfielder Elliot Anderson are both attracting transfer interest ahead of the summer, but Forest expect only one of those to leave.

Manchester City are leading the race for Anderson, and the Midlands club expects to raise big money from his sale this summer.

As a result, they want to keep Gibbs-White at the club and are now ‘increasingly confident’ that their captain will stay.

Even though he is attracting interest from both Tottenham and Man United ahead of the summer, Forest ‘remain calm’ over the 26-year-old’s future.

What Forest expect Gibbs-White to do this summer

TEAMtalk say that Vitor Pereira’s men do not expect the former Wolves man to push for an exit this summer after signing a long-term contract last year.

Gibbs-White is seen as ‘central’ to Forest’s plans going forward, and the midfielder feels that getting regular football at the City Ground will boost his chances of returning to the England set-up.

The feeling at Forest is that their captain’s contract situation places them in a far stronger negotiating position than they were last summer.
