‘Big player’ – Two Norwich stars linked with Spurs react to Oliver Skipp loan

Rumoured Tottenham Hotspur targets Max Aarons and Ben Godfrey have both expressed their delight at the news that Oliver Skipp has completed a loan move to Norwich City.

Tottenham confirmed on Monday that Skipp would be heading to Carrow Road on a season-long loan.

The youngster is seemingly not too far away from establishing himself in the Tottenham first-team but some Spurs fans were quite happy to see him being loaned out to Norwich to get regular football.

Despite being rooted to the bottom of the table for almost the entirety of last season, some of Norwich’s young talents did their reputations no harm in their first taste of top-flight.

Aarons and Godfrey are among those who have had decent campaigns and reports indicate that both players are on Tottenham’s radar this summer (The Athletic and The Sun).

Both the right-back as well as central defender took to Instagram to congratulate Skipp after the Spurs midfielder expressed his delight at completing the move to the East Anglian side.

While Godfrey wrote: ‘Welcome Skippyy’ with a clenched fist emoji, Aarons wrote: ‘Big player’ accompanied with a clenched fist and bicep curl emojis (TBR Football).

Spurs Web Opinion

This is a fantastic move for Skipp and he will no doubt be a much better player for the experience of playing week in, week out in a demanding league like the Championship. Given the way Daniel Farke’s side play, the 19-year-old will fit in seamlessly at Carrow Road.
