Mikey Moore is emerging as the subject of a major transfer battle after Tottenham Hotspur made a decision on his immediate future.

From the start of the summer window, several sources have reported that clubs from England and across Europe are eyeing a move for Moore.

That is not surprising, given that the 18-year-old demonstrated his potential on loan at Rangers last season, winning the SPL Young Player of the Year award last term.

Some Spurs fans may want to see the teenager given a chance by Roberto De Zerbi, but reports indicate Tottenham have informed Moore that they will loan him out again as there is little prospect of regular first-team football next season at N17.

Borussia Dortmund’s interest in Tottenham starlet Mikey Moore confirmed

A couple of days ago, Football Insider reported that several Bundesliga clubs and Erdiviside sides are exploring a move for the Spurs teenager.

The report named Borussia Dortmund, FC Cologne and PSV Eindhoven as among the clubs tracking Moore, revealing that PSV want an option to buy attached to the loan.

The Athletic have now backed up Dortmund’s interest in the Spurs academy graduate, revealing that Niko Kovac’s side are looking to tie up a loan deal with Spurs.

Dortmund have a history of developing young English stars, having done so with the likes of Jadon Sancho and Jude Bellingham, and Moore may be the next English teenager to head to the Westfalenstadion.

Would Moore be tempted to test himself at Dortmund?

Moore has made no secret of his desire to return to Rangers for a second season, but one wonders if his mind may have changed after the flurry of interest.

An opportunity to test himself in Germany at one of the biggest clubs in the Bundesliga may fast-forward his development much more, and would put him outside his comfort zone again.

However, the winger evidently has an emotional connection with Rangers, and he and Spurs will know that he is more likely to continue getting regular starts at the Scottish side than at Dortmund.
