Bournemouth set new Antoine Semenyo asking price amid Tottenham and Man United interest

Bournemouth are demanding a huge fee for Antoine Semenyo, but this has not put off Tottenham Hotspur and three other Premier League sides.

Regular readers of Spurs Web will be aware that the speculation linking Semenyo with a move to Tottenham has intensified over the last week.

The rumours have gone into hyperdrive since ENIC pumped £100m into Spurs, and that may not be a coincidence, with the Lilywhites now potentially having the capital for a big-money January move.

A few days ago, The Independent’s Miguel Delaney even claimed Tottenham have moved to pole position in the race for Semenyo.

However, a new report has now suggested that Thomas Frank’s men have to battle three of the biggest clubs in the Premier League for the winger.

Tottenham are in a four-horse race for Antoine Semenyo

It has been claimed by Fichajes that Tottenham are one of four clubs ready to pounce on the winger during the upcoming transfer window.

Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United are named as the other three clubs ready to splash the cash on the Bournemouth man.

The outlet says that the Cherries want in excess of £80m for Semenyo, but this has not put off any of the four clubs.

The report backs up what we have heard from other sources over recent days by stating that Liverpool may have an advantage in the race for the winger, given the relationships their current sporting director, Richard Hughes, has at Bournemouth.

Spurs may not have to break the bank for Semenyo

This update from Fichajes puts the Ghanaian’s value at over £80m, while other sources have said that Semenyo would cost £75m.

However, interestingly, a recent update by talkSPORT claimed that Semenyo’s new contract at Bournemouth contains a release clause.

The report revealed that the value of the clause remains confidential, and Andoni Iraola’s men want to keep it under wraps.
