According to The Standard’s Dan Kilpatrick, Tottenham Hotspur have identified their priority ahead of the January transfer window.

Ange Postecoglou admits Spurs are short in one area
Postecoglou may be a man under pressure but reports indicate that the Tottenham hierarchy are prepared to back him with signings in January.
The Spurs head coach confirmed last week that ‘there is no doubt’ that the club are in need of reinforcements to their attack, given the injuries they are dealing with.
It remains to be seen if the Lilywhites will pursue an out-and-out winger, a striker or a versatile forward who can play across the frontline.

Tottenham identify transfer priority for January
In his latest column, Kilpatrick suggested that despite the impending arrival of Yang Min-hyeok, the North London side still see signing another forward as a priority.
The journalist wrote: “Richarlison has struggled to stay fit, while Wilson Odobert’s first season at Spurs has been disrupted by a major hamstring injury. Neither is expected back until well into the new year.
“In time, Mikey Moore – who is still recovering from a virus – is expected to develop into a top player but relying on him this season may be premature. Another forward is, therefore, a priority for January, even with 18-year-old Min-hyeok Yang set to join from Gangwon FC.”

Who have Spurs been linked with?
Tottenham have been linked with several attackers from the Premier League, including Ipswich’s Liam Delap, who is having a sensational debut season in the Premier League.
Over recent weeks, several outlets have revealed that Spurs are keen on snapping up the youngster, who is also wanted by the likes of Arsenal, Aston Villa and Newcastle United.
More recently, it has also been suggested that Postecoglou’s men are one of several clubs eyeing a move for Brentford’s versatile attacker Bryan Mbeumo.
