The top five fastest players at Tottenham in the Premier League this season have been revealed – but Micky van de Ven misses out.
Tottenham Hotspur have had their fair share of lightning‑quick players over the years, and that tradition certainly continues in the modern era.
The likes of Kyle Walker, Danny Rose and Heung-min Son all stand as speedsters who have departed the north London club in recent times.
Regardless, Tottenham still have the fastest Premier League player in their squad, after Micky van de Ven took that record back in 2025.

Tottenham’s top five fastest players this season so far – no Micky van de Ven
However, new data from FotMob now shows that van de Ven is set to have competition for that spot as the fastest player at the club.
According to FotMob, the Dutchman is not even in the top five fastest players at the club so far this season.
Instead, at the top of the list is Savio, who has clocked a top speed of 34.5 km/h. In second is Omar Marmoush, who has managed a top speed of 34.3 km/h.
In third place is Andy Robertson with a top speed of 34 km/h, while in fourth and fifth place are Destiny Udogie and Mathys Tel with 33.9 km/h and 33.7 km/h respectively.
While Savio is first so far this season, his top speed of 34.5km/h is still a long way off van de Ven’s Premier League record of 37.38 km/h in the 24/25 campaign.

| Player | Top speed |
|---|---|
| Savio | 34.5 km/h |

| Andy Robertson | 34 km/h |
| Destiny Udogie | 33.9 km/h |
| Mathys Tel | 33.7 km/h |
Spurs centre-backs not hitting top speeds
The data does show something very interesting about Tottenham this season, and that is the centre-backs are not being forced into hitting their top speeds.
Marcos Senesi, Micky van de Ven and Jan Paul van Hecke are 10th, 11th and 15th on this list for the fastest players this season.
| Player | Top speed |
|---|---|
| Marcos Senesi | 31.8 km/h |
| Micky van de Ven | 31.8 km/h |
| Jan Paul van Hecke | 30.5 km/h |
That could hint at Roberto De Zerbi’s setup preventing the centre-backs from having to do as much high-speed running, which is one possible reason why van de Ven has not reached his usual top speed.
If that is the case, it could also be a positive for the Dutchman, as he may not be required to make as many explosive runs as he has in previous seasons.
