The 26-year-old has almost become a forgotten man at Spurs, having not played for the Lilywhites since 2023, and having had three different loan spells over the last two years.

Reports continue to indicate that Fiorentina are considering a permanent deal for the Spurs winger following his loan spell at the Viola during the second half of last season.

According to reports, De Zerbi has informed Solomon that he is not in his plans at Spurs, and the Israeli international has now made an admission about his club future.

Manor Solomon admits doubts over his future as ‘Tottenham are going big’ this summer

Many Spurs fans may not know that Solomon played under De Zerbi during his time at Shakhtar Donetsk, prior to his switch to the Premier League.

The winger revealed that the Tottenham boss likes him as a player, but hinted that he may need to exit the club to get game time, given the ambitious additions that the North Londoners are making to their squad.

Solomon told Israel’s Sport 1 (as relayed by CaughtOffside): “I also know he [De Zerbi] really appreciates me, but the situation at Tottenham is different.

“There are a lot of players, but they are going really big this summer and I want to play, so I don’t know what will happen. I’m under contract there, so I can’t speak about it and I can’t know. In soccer, you never know; I’ve been through this before, so we’ll just have to wait and see.”

Solomon admits De Zerbi is the best coach he has worked with

The 26-year-old winger only worked with the Tottenham boss for a brief period in Ukraine, but De Zerbi left a lasting impression on him.

The wide-man insisted that the Italian is the best coach he has worked with so far across his career, adding that he has a lot of respect for the 46-year-old.

Solomon said about his relationship with De Zerbi: “We’ve spoken a few times since our time at Shakhtar. I saw him when I played against him in England, and we also spoke later when he moved to France. He’s a coach I really like and respect; he’s the best coach I’ve ever had, I think, in terms of football.”
