Fiorentina have sent Tottenham Hotspur a strong message regarding Manor Solomon following his loan spell at the Serie A club.
Fiorentina have a £8.7m option to buy Solomon permanently following his loan spell in Florence during the second half of the season.
However, the Serie A club have not activated the clause yet, and some sources have suggested they do not plan on doing so.
Last week, Gazzetta dello Sport claimed that Viola are looking to sign Solomon on a discount, and a new update has now suggested what the Italian club are now doing amid the uncertainty regarding the Spurs winger’s future.

Tottenham handed an ultimatum regarding Manor Solomon sale
A new report in Corriere dello Sport (as relayed by Sport Witness) has now also confirmed that the Serie A club have asked for a discounted price for the Israeli international.
The publication claims that Fiorentina do not feel that Solomon is worth €10m (£8.6m) despite delivering some promising performances on loan.
It is asserted that the ‘ball is firmly now in the London club’s court’, with Fiorentina keen on negotiating for the 26-year-old if the Lilywhites reduce their asking price.
In the meantime, Viola have already started exploring other wingers, including Sassuolo pair Cristian Volpato and Armand Lauriente.
If Fabio Grosso’s men complete a deal for either one of the two, Tottenham’s hopes of selling Solomon to the Italian side will be over.
Solomon’s agent has opened the door to Spurs stay
Solomon’s agent Gilad Katza has not ruled out his client’s return to Florence despite the winger’s touching farewell post when his loan spell in Italy came to an end.
Katza also admitted that he would prefer Solomon to stay at Tottenham, although he confessed that there has not been a conversation between De Zerbi and the former Shakhtar Donetsk man.
A revival of his Spurs career seems very slim for the 26-year-old, who has not played a single game for the Lilywhites in almost three years.
