Fabrizio Romano has laid out Tottenham’s huge plans to strengthen their forward line in the dying stages of the window following reports that the club are in talks with Man City over two players.
If you have been on social media at all over the last 12 hours, you will know that Tottenham are now in discussions with Manchester City over Omar Marmoush and Savinho.
That update was provided yesterday evening by the reliable David Ornstein, and has garnered a massive reaction, not just from Spurs fans but also from opposition fans.
It is clear that the Lilywhites are looking for plenty of firepower to their forward line before the window slams shut, and it appears that the club are in a hurry to wrap up the deals.

Tottenham will try to accelerate the double deal for Omar Marmoush and Savinho
Fabrizio Romano has now taken to social media to reiterate that Roberto De Zerbi’s side want to bring two wingers and a striker through the door before the window slams shut.
The journalist also added that Spurs will try to speed up the double deal for the Man City man over the coming hours.
Romano wrote on X: “Tottenham to try to accelerate today for double deal involving Omar Marmoush and Savinho. The plan for Spurs remains two wingers (Gakpo and Savinho) plus a striker, deal on. Pedro Neto, backup option only if Savinho doesn’t join.”

On his YouTube channel, the transfer market expert also gave a comprehensive update on the players the Lilywhites have identified as potential alternatives if they are unable to land Cody Gakpo or the Man City pair.
Romano named Pedro Neto as a backup for Savinho, and Nicholas Jackson as a potential backup for Tottenham if they are unable to land Marmoush.
The journalist said: “Tottenham are working on several opportunities. I always told you on my channel that Tottenham are working on two wingers and a striker. The wingers wanted by them are, and remain, Savinho, or Pedro Neto if the Savinho deal doesn’t work. One between Savinho and Neto, but priority remains Savinho. And for the other winger: Cody Gakpo from Liverpool. These are the two wingers they want at the club.
“Then, for central striker, Omar Marmoush is an option and Nicholas Jackson is an option. I don’t have any confirmation on the name Victor Osimhen, which was going around in the reports over recent days. This is the situation for Tottenham Hotspur.
“There have been contacts today with Manchester City on Savinho, also about Marmoush. I expect more conversations. Then, let me also bring to the table Al-Hilal, because they also want a winger. And when you arrive in the final weeks of the window, it’s quite obvious that the same players are targets for both clubs. When these kinds of clubs are looking with the same budget, with the same kind of players, it is obvious that they are managing similar options. Neto is also an option for Al-Hilal.”
