Tottenham Hotspur are now advancing in talks with Manchester City over a deal for two of their forwards who are looking to leave the club this summer.

Despite having completed the signing of six players this summer transfer window for £237 million, Tottenham Hotspur still remain very active in the transfer market.

Most of the money spent this summer has gone into midfield and defensive additions, but Spurs are now looking to bolster their attacking ranks.

Reports have it that Tottenham are in the market for two wide forwards and a striker with two weeks left before the transfer window slams shut.

Tottenham target Manchester City duo Savinho and Omar Marmoush

According to David Ornstein of The Athletic, Tottenham are working on a double deal to sign Savinho and Omar Marmoush from Manchester City.

Savinho has been a long-term target for the Lilywhites, who have had him on their radar since last summer.

Spurs rekindled their interest this transfer window, but have yet to get a deal done for the Brazil international. City are understood to be demanding £85 million for the 22-year-old.

His teammate Marmoush is now also on the Lilywhites’ radar, with The Athletic describing the pair as “key targets” for Tottenham. It is explained that no deal has been completed, but talks are advancing between the two clubs.

City’s stance could open door for Spurs

City have shown a willingness to let several of their players leave this summer transfer window, which should serve as a boost for Spurs.

Marmoush and Savinho stand as players who are considering their future at the Etihad, and should Tottenham meet City’s demands, there is a chance the pair depart this summer.

But their departure is sure to leave City short in attack. Marmoush stands as a backup to Erling Haaland, while Savinho has been holding things down on the right for most of pre-season.

It remains to be seen if Maresca’s side sanctions a deal without securing replacements for both Marmoush and Savinho.
