Fabrizio Romano reveals details of Conte ‘approved’ contract offer to Hugo Lloris

Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Tottenham Hotspur are now confident Hugo Lloris will sign a new contract.

Lloris is now into the final six months of his deal at Tottenham, which means the Spurs skipper can speak to foreign clubs over a potential pre-contract agreement.

It has been reported over recent days that the goalkeeper has received an offer from his boyhood club Nice.

Lloris demonstrated his quality again in Tottenham’s 1-0 win over Watford on Saturday, making a brilliant save when called upon at the start of the second half.

Conte stated after the game that the 35-year-old ‘loves’ Tottenham and insisted he was hopeful the two parties would reach an agreement in a ‘short time’.

Romano has now taken to social media to reveal the Tottenham head coach has approved a one-year contract extension for Lloris and that Spurs expect the experienced goalkeeper to put pen on paper.

There is no reason to fear that Lloris will snub Tottenham’s offer. The 35-year-old has been a fantastic servant for the club over the years and has proven his loyalty to Spurs. I fully expect him to put pen on paper on a new deal sooner rather than later.
