The Belgian defender had a decent game. His positioning was decent, and as you’d expect, his distribution and ability to contribute to our possession game was superb. He was often seen covering for the often out of position Foyth.

Tottenham’s title bid suffered a major blow despite a goal from Harry Kane as Burnley condemned them to a 2-1 defeat at Turf Moor.

Not even Kane’s goalscoring return after six weeks out with an ankle injury could inspire Spurs to a victory which would have moved them to within two points of Manchester City and Liverpool at the top.

It was a disappointing display by Mauricio Pochettino’s side with even the most optimistic of Spurs fans now accepting that our title hopes are a thing of the past.
